The approach is based on the agro-ecosystem analysis methodology that aims to guide farmers to make better decisions. As an analytical tool, the agro-ecosystem analysis educates farmers on data collection, analysis and also helps farmers make informed decisions about crops and commodities.  For uneducated and/or less educated farmers FAO Pakistan introduced the Jam’s 4 Colors Approach a unique colors language universal to all people, whether uneducated or educated.
